Rechargeable Batteries
Rechargeable Batteries- Ava Lairmore
I believe rechargeable batteries are really important to utilize because they would lessen the production of batteries as a whole. Thinking about how many batteries are produced daily, specifically in places like China and Indonesia, there are a lot of factories that release emissions that are harmful to the environment. Personally, I use a lot of rechargeable batteries whenever possible. Thinking about it like a water bottle, why would you buy more plastic water bottles when you could simply refill a reusable one? Not only are rechargeable batteries good for the environment, but you’d also save a lot of money. During the big freeze in Texas in February, a lot of people had to rely on batteries.
If we did encounter a situation where we didn’t have electricity, it’s important to understand what we would really be without, in order to understand what we would then need. If our power went out, we wouldn’t have air conditioning or a way to heat up the house. We would have to rely on things like generators or flashlights, because there is no source for electricity or lighting in the household
