Blog number 7 Global warming and its effect on specifically land

 So we’ve heard a lot about global warming in class but I wanted to take a closer look because my main topic I got assigned was land issues I wanted to look at how global warming was effecting the earths landscape and what exactly that was doing to the environment. So when global warming occurs there are a few things that go on that effect our land. For starters there are more hot days and fewer cold days as well as longer and more intense heatwaves will become more common. Storms, floods,  and droughts will also become more common. Right away these things would have a more immediate impact on the land and they’d be things we’d be able to tell we’re going on almost instantly but what about some more long term effects

   One thing you’ll hear a lot about is the ice caps melting causing sea levels to rise. Which will cause a lot of costal populated areas to eventually be completely submerged under water. That probably one of the main concerns scientists have with global warming. So in order to prevent these things and prevent other huge changes in our worlds climate not to sound like a broken record but do your part to protect our environment.

    Hi Mason, i thought your blog post was very interesting. Like you, I have heard a ton about ice caps melting and sea levels rising, but I feel like we don't hear as much about the droughts and heat waves, which would be very dangerous to all life.

    Hey Mason, great blog! I agree with a lot of the things you've stated, and how a lot of natural disasters or big weather events will occur with climate changes. I think your last sentence especially stood out, because you address how we all need to do our part to protect the environment and ourselves. Climate change has short and long term effects, so great post!

    Your article really piqued my interest tremendously. I've heard a lot about ice caps melting and sea levels rising, just like you, but I don't believe we hear nearly enough about droughts and heat waves, which are incredibly dangerous to all living things.

    I really liked your article. The effects of global warming are terrible. In the past few years alone, it feels like summer has gotten hotter and seemed to last longer. And fall and winter seem to last a little longer. It depends. However, I believe that these changes all point towards global warming.

    Mason, great post. I found it very interesting to see this view point on global warming. I feel like everyone hears about the ice caps, not that they aren’t important, just very talked about when discussing global warming so I think it’s interesting hearing about all the other effects such as floods and extreme droughts and storms.

     This will be the last blog post I  do on this topic, I have been researching and learning about the issues of conservation and extinction for several weeks now and I feel a lot more personally connected to this issue. this exercise has helped me gain a new understanding of the threat we face in our world today. Biodiversity is very essential in large ecosystems. The most noticeable, is the resource availability. With plenty of water, comes plenty of insects. The insects pollenate plants, which bring in amphibians and rodents, and fish. This draws in small predators like birds, reptiles, fox, and many more and this keeps going on and on. As long as the biodiversity is large within an ecosystem, it will continue to grow.
