Global warming is an ongoing issue that is progressively getting worse on our animals around the world as time goes on. Why is this? Due to global warming temperature changes it has now become warmer in places where these animals roam. With the heat rising causes hunger to sort of disappear to the animals because their bodies are focused on cooling off or water. Researchers have found that they are found sleeping instead of eating when in extreme heat and that can cause stunted growth as they are not fueling their bodies the right nutrients it needs to grow and develop fully. Researchers have also found that climate change will possibly end up making animals 25% smaller than their size they are supposed to become. This is a problem we are starting to see with polar bears especially with how thin they are becoming. Global warming is real and is slowly killing species all around us. This is something we humans need to act on and fast before these weak animals exist no more.
Hi Laurel I thought that your blog was very informal and brought up some facts with the animals like them being focused on cooling instead of eating. I had no idea that is how some animals could become un healthy and die.
ReplyDeleteI thought your blog was quite informal, and it provided some interesting information about animals, such as how they like to chill rather than eat. I had no idea how certain animals could become unwell and die in this way.
ReplyDeleteI liked your blog because good nutrition is so important! I experienced it myself: not eating regularly makes you weak and tired all the time. Eating the wrong things, like junk food, has also a bad influence on your body. We really need to look out more for these poor animals!
ReplyDeleteLaurel, I really like the topic you talked about this week. You made really good points about the effects we see in global warming. I honestly had no idea that it was that serious.
