Middle East Water Crisis #8

Recently, the Middle East has been experiencing many environmental concerns such as water. Their water sources are slowly becoming rare which seeks immediate attention. A big factor for all these countries is the lack of resources and poor management they have with this necessity. The Middle East is one of the largest oil reserves in the world, yet they live in a harsh environment. The land that is available for them to produce food is destroyed by increasing desertification. Desertification is a sweeping environmental problem. Their agriculture uses 85% of the water they have and the rest is misused which in some areas, droughts are likely to happen. No one has created any alternate forms of energy for the Middle East to conserve freshwater. There are several struggles with their water resources and the region needs more than one solution in order to be in good hands in the future.

  1. Hello Destiney great job on your blog! I did not know that the Middle East had been experiencing environmental concerns such as water. When you said "There are several struggles with their water resources and the region needs more than one solution in order to be in good hands in the future." made me so sad knowing they are trying to fix it but what they are doing is not enough. Its is sad and very scary to say the least.

  2. Great work I had no idea the Middle East was coping with such challenges as water scarcity. "There are a variety of difficulties with their water resources, and the region requires more than one answer in order to be in good hands in the future," you said, since I know they're trying it’s crazy to me , but it's not enough.

  3. Good job with your blog! I have read some articles about water scarcity in the Middle East and it is true: they are running out of resources to provide their population with water. Maybe we can send some tons of water to help them? Or maybe they can use our technology to come up with a solution?
