Land Pollution #8
Land Pollution
Land pollution has similar pollutants as water. In agriculture farms the fertilizers and pesticides can harm plants, animals, and sometimes even humans. These pesticides are absorbed into the fruit or vegetables being grow and as humans eat these types of food it causes the pesticides to enter the human’s body. Pesticides can cause humans cancer or diabetes. Trash is another form of land pollution. Garbage contains dangerous pesticides such as oils, chemicals, and ink. These pollutants can also go into the soil and affect plants and humans. We have garbage incinerators to help burn all of the garbage, but unfortunately while doing that it releases terrible toxins and heavy metals into the air causing air pollution.

Hi Megan I really enjoyed reading your blog post. I had no idea that garbage not only contains harmful things but is getting into our soil affecting our plants and then of course us. That to me is extremely scary and alarming to say the least. But overall great job and I really enjoyed reading this blog post!
ReplyDeleteHi Megan I thought that your blog had some good thoughts in it. I didn't realize how many harmful things come out of garbage and waste.
