Factor Farm VS. Family Farm
Factor Farm VS. Family Farm

The environment needs the farmers and rancher to continue producing all the nutrients and by products that most American take advantage of. When we are talking about Factor farms, only 2% of the farming in the United States fall under that factor. While we were just talking about Factor farms, the family farms are 98% and there are 2.2 million farms within the United States. While you are taking advantage our farmers hard work, they are giving everything they have to put clothes on your back, food on your table and gas in your car.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) classifies CAFOs as large [5] livestock facilities that raise animals in confined settings. According to EPA, these facilities “congregate animals, feed, manure and urine, dead animals, and production operations on a small land area. Feed is brought to the animals rather than the animals grazing or otherwise seeking feed in pastures, fields, or on rangeland.” This paragraph above is from the article above. This is why in my opinion people think farms are hurting our environment. Family farms do not and never will use the same methods or processes that the large CAFOs are using.
Family farms take passion in what they do and if you have a problem with it check how you would get fed without us, how you would have those clothes are that nice purse that you want to show off to all your friends. You need to appreciate what others do for you.
Yes, a huge difference in these 2 sorts of agriculture, esp. the CAFOs--not at all that barnyard that your grandpa kept up

Yes. Family farms are better. Especially for the animals as well as the environment. My mom's side of the family had a farm. I can remember going to visit on occasion. It helped me have a greater appreciation for farming.
