Water Pollution - blog 5
When reading the EHEP article about Water Pollution puts things in perspective about our water's future. Water pollution is a contamination of water by substances that make the water not available to drink, clean and do other activities. This pollution is caused by us humans when we litter and when we pour chemicals down the drain. There are many forms of pollutions that may eventually make their way to the water. Such as air settling down onto lakes and oceans. These pollutants include bacteria, trash, chemicals, and parasites. Many of them can cause a disease or act very poisonous towards us humans. Not only can these hazardous chemicals enter our bodies when we drink water but also food preparation. The pollutants can enter our digestive system which later on can reach other organs in the body and cause severe illness. You may be asking yourself "How can we stop this before it gets worse?." Well, there isn't a lot of clean water on the planet so experts ask to use less water. For example, not running the water constantly while brushing your teeth or taking long showers. Remember to use our water carefully and not pollute this natural resource we use in our daily lives.
