How can we reduce our waste?

 

This article gives us eight ways to reduce our waste. I agree with most of the tips, but a few of them stuck out for me. 

 

One of the first things that we need to start with is using less paper. Deforestation is an increasing problem and with the technology that we have today, there shouldn't be a problem to read your magazines online or to write an email instead of a letter.

 The second important tip is to use a reusable bag when you go grocery shopping. For example, Walmart uses plastic bags and they don't even fill them to the top. If we use our own reusable bags, less plastic will go to waste because let's be honest, we just throw those plastic bags away when we are back home.

 The third important tip is to avoid single packaged food and drink containers and utensils. For example, Pop Tarts are single packaged AND then again packaged in one big box. If we could just package them in one big box, it would spare us a lot of waste and the flavor would still be the same.

 I hope that every person and every fabric will consider these tips to provide a better life on Earth for us!

    I agree that deforestation shouldn’t be as big of an issue as it is. It seems like everyone already used technology for everything, so it shouldn’t be difficult to use it for things like magazines and emails either.

    This blog that you wrote is very good, the information you wrote about ways to reduce pollution through the use of cloth bags, the truth is that the idea is very good but for that, governments should also ban the use of bags. plastics as well as in some parts of the world they stopped making sorbets for drinks they should also do that with bags.

    Hey Yenne,
    I really enjoy reading your blogs each week, but by far this is my favorite one thus far. I agree that pollution is a huge problem and there are so many way we can stop it from happening. Just as you stated and the article wrote about just simply using the reusable bags is saving us so much waste and pollution in the long run. Keep up the great work!

     This will be the last blog post I  do on this topic, I have been researching and learning about the issues of conservation and extinction for several weeks now and I feel a lot more personally connected to this issue. this exercise has helped me gain a new understanding of the threat we face in our world today. Biodiversity is very essential in large ecosystems. The most noticeable, is the resource availability. With plenty of water, comes plenty of insects. The insects pollenate plants, which bring in amphibians and rodents, and fish. This draws in small predators like birds, reptiles, fox, and many more and this keeps going on and on. As long as the biodiversity is large within an ecosystem, it will continue to grow.
