Blog 4: Agricultural Pollution:

What is agricultural pollution?

Agricultural pollution is when an excessive and uncontrolled use of chemical and synthetic products that are harmful in the medium and long term for the health of the soil, is contributing to pollution.  This type of pollution is called agricultural pollution, but it is not only chemicals that promote pollution.

Rivers with unsuitable groundwater, waters with a high saline index, or the use of unregulated pesticides also contribute.  Some of these factors increase the amount of sodium in the soil, rendering it useless over time.

If we had to define the term agricultural pollution we would say that it is the set of factors in agricultural activity that negatively affect the soil, the environment and the products obtained. Causes of agricultural pollution: There are many causes that contribute to agricultural pollution, from diseases resulting from fertilizers and pesticides, to the inclusion of exotic species.

Among the main causes is contaminated water, this happens when using water that contains small amounts of metals causes the soil and the vegetables produced to become contaminated, causing diseases in people.
There is also the fertilizers and pesticides: Each time the pesticides are more powerful and end up seeping through the soil and plants so that the health of animals and consumers can be affected in a dangerous way.
