Apps for Agriculture - Connor Sullivan

 Apps for Agriculture

Farming is becoming smarter and smarter every day. We have turned big computers into small hand held devices and now it may be easier than every to have you 50 acre farm right there on your smart phone. The article that I read straight from the creators of the the app "Cropin" They are a company that are wanting to make farming smarter that every with there app which I will go into more detail about.

Cropin is a very smart and intuitive system that delivers farming solutions to all sorts of agricultural settings. They give you all the data that you can think of and set out different patterns that you crops are going through and also weather patterns. Cropin gathers data through a smartphone app that records activities & milestones. Ensuring efficient operations, lower costs and better visibility for your field agents at all times.

I think that this app could be the next best thing, It gives you so much data and insight into your crops and can give you accurate predictions of what to come. I feel like this could save a farmer a lot of money while making them a lot at the same time.

  1. Dear Connor,
I really enjoyed reading this weeks blog. As a farm kid I think it is wonderful that more and more apps are being made. On the other hand these can become a problem if you truly think about it. Do you know why I say that having so much technology may start hurting the agriculture industry? If so maybe shoot me a text, if not I would love to let you know. I, along with many other farmers have that view on today's technology.

  2. I never knew that there apps that help with farming and agriculture. It was fascinating reading what all the app can do. I believe this is a preview of what our future is going to look like. On the other hand, having all electronic things can have many different pros and cons to them.

  3. Very cool, i would have never guessed you could even make an app to actually help in agriculture. It would be awesome to see some of the successful apps and get to see how they actually work to help agriculture.
