Will Animals Still Roam The Earth?

Global warming is continuing to destroy our earth, especially our animals. Each day as the climate becomes warmer and we have droughts and plants being destroyed it causes our wildlife to suffer tremendously. Looking up more research on this topic taught me that it affects more than just the polar bears and the melting of the glaciers but affects animals such as whales, leopards, rhinos, gorillas, and so many more. Why is this though? It's more than just heat change. Gorillas habitats are being taken over by humans, we as humans are destroying their homes in order to have more land for factories and work spaces because to us it's more about the money than other living creatures which is awful. On the topic of money another huge problem is overfishing. Fishermen are taking away so much of the fish which not only affects the fish population but the whale population as well. Fish are a major food source to our whales and when the fisherman take them all out of our oceans, there is no food source left for them so they starve to death.  These are things we can easily fix, we need to stop thinking about ourselves or the dollar signs in our head and start focusing on the damage we are doing not only to our earth but to the creatures on it before it's too late.

     This will be the last blog post I  do on this topic, I have been researching and learning about the issues of conservation and extinction for several weeks now and I feel a lot more personally connected to this issue. this exercise has helped me gain a new understanding of the threat we face in our world today. Biodiversity is very essential in large ecosystems. The most noticeable, is the resource availability. With plenty of water, comes plenty of insects. The insects pollenate plants, which bring in amphibians and rodents, and fish. This draws in small predators like birds, reptiles, fox, and many more and this keeps going on and on. As long as the biodiversity is large within an ecosystem, it will continue to grow. Reintroducing biodiversity could rejuvenate a declining ecosystem as well, but this needs to be done very intricately so you do not cause a situation like the invasive species which causes a new issue.
